I am a second year graduate student teaching summer classes. A fellow graduate student constantly barks orders to the rest of us (even though we are all on the same "level"). What is the best way to deal with bossy people?

I always, always, always respond with, “You might be right.” You’re not agreeing with them but you are getting them to back off a bit. I think it’s always best to work hard and keep your head down because the nail that sticks out gets hammered.

Can you give me advice on how to handle rude people/comments properly? Recently, a girl whom I'm not to familiar with, has been very rude around me and I want to know how I can handle it like a lady even though she certainly isn't acting like one. Thank you!

I really think the only way to handle rude people is to ignore them. Usually, they are doing it to get a rise out of you so if you deny them that satisfaction, they’ll move on. 

If it’s a problem that continues, I would try to pull her aside and just let her know how you feel. She may completely unaware that she’s being rude. Some people weren’t lucky enough to be raised with manners and respect.

Will there ever be a "Meet the Magnolias" page for you?? It works for some of the girls but it says your page doesn't exist!

The Meet the Magnolias pages go up with their first posts usually. Once they’ve all been introduced, there might be one for me :)

I just don’t want Modern Magnolias to be about me and some kind of big reveal. But sooner, rather than later, y’all will learn a lot more about me! There are some super fun things in the works but they won’t work without me being in front of a camera. Be on the lookout :)
