What is your reasoning behind being anonymous? I'm just curious about your reasoning behind choosing this platform versus one of personal disclosure.Anonymous
Actually, when I started writing rules (almost three years ago… good grief!!!), it was on my personal Tumblr page. After the first few went out and people started taking interest, I realized that coming from a person, these nuggets of advice would more than likely come off as harsh or ridiculous, instead of helpful and from a place of meaning well.
Another, very big reason, is that I am not perfect. I don’t follow all of these rules 100% of the time and I didn’t want this to become about catching me breaking “my own rules”…
And I wanted people to be comfortable coming to me for advice. While, more often than not, my life is a complete mess, I have always seemed to be able to offer pretty reasonable and solid advice to my friends and I wanted others to feel comfortable doing that. It’s much easier to take advice that way.
And another, somewhat selfish reason, is that I don’t necessarily want thousands and thousands of people knowing details about my life. I absolutely adore each and every one of y’all but I quite enjoy the anonymity of it. And it’s really fun to read all the theories and guesses as to who I am, what I do, what I probably wear, etc., etc., etc.
